CARDHOLDER INFORMATION

The Bread Prepaid Mastercard® Card looks and feels like a debit or credit card, but like a PAYG phone, it needs to be loaded with funds before they can be spent. There is no credit involved and it is not linked to your bank account.

Any participating Bread4Scrap scrap yard can load your card when they pay you for your scrap. You can have up to £75,000 loaded per year onto a single card and hold up to £5000 at any single time.

Immediately. We send you a text every time your card is loaded. There is a limit of £1000 (Max £300 per transaction) from an ATM per day but other than that you can spend up to the available balance on the card. When you first get your card, the card and PIN are contained in a secure package, so no one else can have access to it.

As soon as you realise that you have lost your card, log into your cardholder portal and report it lost. This will permanently block the card and a new one can be ordered. Alternatively, you can call our customer service team to report your card lost or stolen. The lost and stolen line is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Yes you can. Most high street ATM providers will be able to do this for you. Please make sure you don’t disclose the PIN to anyone else. To retrieve a forgotten PIN, please call +44 20 3475 5351 and follow the automated prompts.

There are some nominal fees for the convenience of using your card. A full list may be found here.

The balance total is sent to you via SMS every time your card is topped up, but you can also log into your account online or call us on +44 20 3475 5351 and follow the automated instructions to retrieve your balance.

You can use your Bread4Scrap card to make purchases online, over the phone, and in-store, withdrawals can be made at ATM locations worldwide wherever Mastercard® is accepted.
